How it works?

Election Initiation

An entity that is desirous of soliciting the opinion of its group members partners with VOTEASE.
Such an entity is designated as ‘The Voting Authority’ and VOTEASE assists it in securing the votes of its electorate using distant or absentee voting.
Voters are sent a customized ballot which is filled and returned to the Voting Authority through an extremely secure, anonymous and expeditious process.

Voter Package Management

VOTEASE creates and provides each voter with a customized ballot via the VOTEASE app.
The ballot can only be accessed by the registered voter and only at the registered address of that voter.
In addition to the available identification features available with the Voting Authority, VOTEASE acquires additional, more detailed and much more secure identification details for each voter. This ensures that each voter’s identity can be positively confirmed before a vote can be cast.

Location-Based Voting

The VOTEASE ballot dispatched to each registered voter can only be accessed when the GPS location of the device matches the registered address of the voter. If the voter is not at the registered location, the VOTEASE app instructs the voter to relocate to the registered address in order to access the ballot.
For highly mobile voters, VOTEASE provides the option of voting from the transient location on which the voter would be present on the day of the vote.

Once extracted from the return envelope, the filled ballot paper can be read, damaged or be subjected to tampering. Human errors can also take place during ballot scrutiny. Compilation of results is conducted once the voting deadline ends. This is a manpower intensive and time consuming process.	Ballot counting is possible either as each ballot arrives or through bulk processing after the voting deadline is reached. In either case, the results are made available in record time.
In the event an audit is required, the only check possible is a physical inspection and verification of each ballot paper. This requires time and extensive human resources.	Each ballot can be physically checked on screen or by printout for genuineness and validity. Furthermore, it can be reintegrated electronically with its stripped information which carries a detailed, authentic, record from its creation to its return. This integration is not possible by either the Voting Authority or by VOTEASE and can only be accomplished by a third party to whom the Voting Authority provides the anonymous ballots received and VOTEASE provides the identifier tags for each ballot. The third party can merge the two databases and conduct an exhaustive examination of each ballot slip journey from creation to receipt at the Voting Authority, complete with date-time stamped activity of each event.
Most governments refer questions to voters asking for decisions on matters that affect their lives. Such questions, termed ‘ballot measures’, can only be answered when the next ballot takes place. These postponements in obtaining public opinion on various matters incur unwelcome delays and impact good governance adversely.
